The Prairie Post is the official newsletter of the High Plains Regional Climate Center. The newsletter was developed in 2010 as a way to better engage and inform stakeholders and community members by providing exclusive information about the center. Inside every quarterly issue of The Prairie Post, you will hear about the latest research, services, and products being spearheaded by the center. Discover new ways to apply Center tools to your own needs, and join us as we envision new services for the future. Every issue of The Prairie Post is available here in our archive.
Climate products and tools are developed by the High Plains Regional Climate Center (HPRCC) and its partner Regional Climate Centers to provide users with a means to routinely access recent weather and climate data. While applied research has demonstrated that the use of such data in decision making can reduce risk and lower a user's cost, near-real-time data are preliminary in nature and sometimes contain errors. Although care is taken to remove known errors, it is possible that some data will change after receipt of written records and final quality control steps. Users are therefore warned to consider any negative impact that errant data might have on their business and use preliminary data and information at their own risk.
The user assumes the entire risk related to the use of information on HPRCC webpages. HPRCC provides such information "as is,", and in no event will HPRCC be liable to a user or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages or lost profit resulting from any use or misuse of information provided through HPRCC.
