Temperature

Temperatures were above normal for the majority of the region. The highest temperatures were 6°F to 8°F above normal in northwestern Wyoming, and central Nebraska. The lowest temperatures were 4°F to 6°F below normal in northcentral North Dakota. 

Temperatures in northwestern and central-eastern Wyoming, central and southwestern South Dakota, northwestern Nebraska, and scattered parts of Colorado reached 6°F to 8°F above normal, with some areas in Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska reaching 8°F to 10°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 95°F at Pueblo, Colorado, which is 4°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 6°F to 10°F below normal in northwestern North Dakota. 

Temperatures in northcentral Colorado and southcentral Wyoming reached 4°F to 6°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 46°F at Alamosa, Colorado, which is normal for the area. The highest temperatures were 6°F to 8°F above normal in northcentral Nebraska and southwestern Wyoming.

Precipitation

Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in southern and central Colorado, central and northeastern Wyoming, southern and central North Dakota, scattered parts of Nebraska, and scattered parts of Kansas, to 800 percent of normal in northeastern South Dakota and southeastern North Dakota. Windom, Kansas received 6.14 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 11^th.

Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions decreased from 47 percent to 46 percent. In the region, North Dakota experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 14 percent and Colorado experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 7 percent. 

Severe Storms

Colorado, Kansas, and Wyoming received hail 1 inch in diameter. North Dakota and South Dakota received hail 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Nebraska received hail from 1 to 1.75 inches in diameter.
