Temperature

Most of the region experienced above normal temperatures. The warmest temperatures were greater than 15°F above normal in northwestern Wyoming. The coolest temperatures were in northern and central North Dakota reaching 0°F to 3°F below normal. 

The lowest temperatures were 3°F to 6°F below normal in northcentral and eastern North Dakota. Temperatures in southwestern and northeastern Kansas, southeastern South Dakota, and northwestern Wyoming reached temperatures greater than 15°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 78°F at Medicine Lodge, Kansas which is 13°F above normal for the area. 

Temperatures were above normal for the majority of the region. The highest temperatures were 15°F to 20°F above normal in northwestern Wyoming. Temperatures in northern and eastern North Dakota and southeastern South Dakota reached 0°F to 5°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 21°F at Moran, Wyoming which is 5°F above normal for the area.

Precipitation

Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in central and southern Colorado, northern and southwestern Kansas, southcentral Nebraska, and southern North Dakota to 400 percent of normal in northeastern Colorado, scattered parts of eastern South Dakota, and northwestern Wyoming. Boulder, Colorado received 2.35 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 29^th.

Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 82 percent to 83 percent. In the region, Colorado experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 12 percent while Wyoming experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 7 percent.
