Temperature

Temperatures varied in the region. The highest temperatures were in northwestern North Dakota reaching greater than 15°F above normal. Temperatures in central Wyoming and southwestern Colorado reached 3°F to 6°F below normal, with a spot in central Wyoming reaching 6°F to 9°F below normal. 

Temperatures in southeastern and northwestern North Dakota and northeastern South Dakota reached 15°F to 20°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 64°F at Medicine Lodge, Kansas which is 7°F above normal for the area. The coldest temperatures were in central Wyoming reaching 5°F to 10°F below normal.  

Temperatures in central Wyoming, northwest of the Nebraskan panhandle, and western Kansas reached 3°F to 6°F below normal, with some spots in Wyoming reaching 6°F to 9°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 9°F at Leadville, Colorado which is 1°F below normal for the area. The highest temperatures were in northern North Dakota reaching temperatures greater than 15°F above normal. 

Precipitation

Precipitation varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in a majority of North Dakota, northern South Dakota, central and western Kansas, and central and eastern Colorado to 800 percent of normal in central and western Wyoming and southwestern South Dakota. Pittsburg, Kansas received 3.46 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 5^th.

Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 79 percent to 80 percent. In the region, Kansas experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 6 percent.
