Temperature 

This week featured above normal temperatures for a majority of the region. The warmest region was northern and western Wyoming reaching temperatures 12°F to 15°F above normal. Temperatures in southcentral Colorado reached 12°F to 16°F below normal. 

The warmest regions were central and southeastern Wyoming, northeastern Colorado, and the Wyoming-Nebraska border reaching 15°F to 20°F above normal. The warmest temperature was 58°F in Goodland, Kansas which is 12°F above normal for the area. Temperatures in southcentral Colorado reached 15°F to 20°F below normal. 

The coldest regions were southcentral Colorado and eastern North Dakota reaching temperatures 10°F to 15°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 1°F in Craig, Colorado which is 8°F below normal for the area. Temperatures in scattered parts of Wyoming reached 10°F to 15°F above normal. 

Precipitation 

Almost all the region experienced 25 percent of normal precipitation with some exceptions of eastern and scattered parts of central and western North Dakota and eastern South Dakota reaching 80 to 175 percent of normal precipitation. Grand Junction, Colorado received 0.81 inches of precipitation, most of this fell on the 2^nd.

Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions decreased from 79 percent to 74 percent. In the region, Colorado experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 18 percent.
