Extreme Temperature Spread Noted Across the U.S on Feb. 27
While much of the midwest was being hit by late-winter storms, some parts of Texas recorded early season summer-like temperatures, with McAllen reaching a record breaking 101 degrees on February 27th. Meanwhile, morning temperatures on the 27th were well below zero over North Dakota and northern Minnesota, with 29 below observed in Baudette, Mn the coldest reported. This was a temperature difference of 130 degrees across the continental United States on the same day!
