The monthly North Central U.S. Climate Summary and Outlook Webinar will take place on Thursday, July 20th at 1pm CDT. Jeff Andresen (Michigan State Climatologist) and Adnan Akyuz (North Dakota State Climatologist) will be presenting the latest drought/climate impacts and outlooks for the region. Jeff will be summarizing recent climate and drought trends over the entire region as well as discussing their impacts as we look forward. He will also present the latest (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center outlooks from two weeks to a few seasons into the future. Adnan will focus more specifically on the northern Great Plains which have be stricken with severe drought for some time now. Adnan will discuss impacts on water resources, agriculture and other sectors.
The focus of these presentations is the north central U.S. that generally stretches from the Great Lakes/Ohio river basin to the Rockies.
At the end of the presentation we will be taking questions.
