The monthly North Central U.S. Climate Summary and Outlook Webinar will take place on Thursday, April 20th at 1pm CDT. Dennis Todey, with the USDA's Midwest Climate Ag. Hub, will be presenting the latest climate impacts and outlooks for the region. Dennis will be summarizing recent climate trends, events, and variability as well as discussing their impacts as we look forward into spring. He will also present the latest (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center outlooks from two weeks to a few seasons into the future. The focus of these presentations is the north central U.S. that generally stretches from the Great Lakes/Ohio river basin to the Rockies.

In many parts of the region we have experienced much above normal temperatures. We will continue to look at the extent of that warmth and potential impacts as early plant growth has begun. The key to concerns hinge on if/when a freezing event will happen and how far along the growth will be at that time.

At the end of the presentation we will be taking questions.
