This month Jim Angel (Illinois State Climatologist) will be presenting the latest climate summary and outlook information for the U.S. and specifically the north central U.S. region. We will continue to examine the state of the likely El Nino event and potential impacts in the future. Subject matter will also include the cool and relatively wet summer, lingering drought, current river conditions, soil moisture updates, stream flow, and general temperature and precipitation trends.

This month we will include an additional speaker (Brad Rippey - USDA/Joint Ag. Weather Facility) who will bring us up to speed on current and potential climate impacts on crops across the area. At the end of the presentation we will be taking questions.
