Please join us for the next Midwest and Great Plains Drought Impact and Outlook Webinar. The Webinar will be held Thursday, August 15th at 1pm CDT. The duration may be up to an hour but is usually less. The presentation will continue the discussion of the current drought and other climate impacts across the region as well as outlooks for drought, precipitation and temperatures over the coming months. Recent rainfall or lack thereof has changed the situation somewhat since our last call. In addition, temperatures have been below normal over much of the region. This may have implications for agriculture and other sectors in the region.
Dennis Todey, the South Dakota State Climatologist, will provide the regional climate briefing. After the presentation we will take questions.
In September, we are planning on including an additional end of growing season update from the USDA.
