NOAA Atlas 14 Volume 8: Precipitation-Frequency Atlas of the United States, Midwestern States has been released

This is the moment many people have been waiting for...the release of the new precipitation frequency estimates! All of the High Plains Region is covered in this release except for Wyoming.
From the HDSC:
The estimates have been published through our Precipitation Frequency Data Server (PFDS) at http://hdsc.nws.noaa.gov/hdsc/pfds/. (Please note that if you have visited the PFDS recently, you may need to refresh your browser.)
The release includes:
- Precipitation frequency estimates in GIS compatible format for average recurrence intervals (ARIs) of 1-year through 1,000-years for selected durations from 5-minutes through 60-days with 90% confidence interval bounds
- Rainfall (liquid precipitation only) frequency estimates for durations between 1 and 24 hours for Colorado and South Dakota
- Cartographic maps of precipitation frequency estimates for selected ARIs and durations
- Seasonality analysis
- Temporal distributions of heavy precipitation for 6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, and 96-hour durations
- Annual maximum series data used in the analysis
Documentation describing the station metadata, data, and project methodology will be released in June 2013.
