Climate Product Assistant Needed - EAST CAMPUS

Part-time (possibly Full-time Summer) Student Position

The High Plains Regional Climate Center is seeking an undergraduate student intern to assist on projects and outreach events at the center. Specifically, we are seeking a student that can assist with applied climate research, help clients with their climate data needs, and participate in outreach events.

Meteorology/Climatology, Computer Science, Geography, and students within the School of Natural Resources are encouraged to apply.

The High Plains Regional Climate Center is located on the 7th floor of Hardin Hall on East Campus.

Requirements: The student must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and an aptitude for handling climate data. The student must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and also have basic programming skills.

Pay: $8.50/hr

Hours: 20/wk during fall/spring semesters, 40/wk summer

Students that can dedicate 1-2 years to this position and are strongly interested in climatology are preferred. Academic credit can be earned with this position.
