Monthly North Central U.S. Climate and Drought Update Webinar Series

The monthly North Central U.S. Climate Summary and Outlook Webinar will take place on Thursday, October 20th at 1pm CDT. Laura Edwards, South Dakota State Climatologist (acting) will be presenting the latest climate information and outlooks for the region. Laura will be summarizing recent climate events and variability as well as discussing their impacts around the region. She will also present the latest (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center outlooks and potential impacts as we move into the fall and winter. She will also provide the latest update on whether La Niña, Neutral or El Niño conditions will form and how strong it may be if it does this fall/winter.
The focus of these presentations is the north central portion of the U.S. that generally stretches from the Great Lakes/Ohio river basin to the Rockies. At the end of the presentation we will be taking questions.
