*** UPDATED *** All-time Record Highs Set in the High Plains Region

This week has been hot across the High Plains Region as hundreds of daily records have been tied or set this week! In addition, many locations, such as Denver, Colorado Springs, and Dodge City, have set or tied their all-time record highs (for any day). With a high temperature of 105F on both June 25 and 26, Denver tied for its all-time record high (period of record 1872-2012). The last time it was that hot in Denver was July 20, 2005.
Unfortunately, the forecast shows that parts of the Region will continue to experience oppressive heat through the weekend. It is important to keep in mind ways to stay healthy and cool during this time. For more information, click here.
