Heavy Precipitation Impacts the High Plains Region - Updated 06/30/10

A large swath of the High Plains Region has received 200-300 percent of normal precipitation so far this month. The heavy precipitation this June has left many locations in Wyoming, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota ranking in the top 10 wettest Junes on record.
Storms over the weekend pushed some locations higher in the June rankings. Sioux Falls, SD joined the top 10 wettest Junes list with 7.83 inches of precipitation. With this precipitation, Sioux Falls is already ranked as the 4th wettest June on record.
The High Plains Regional Climate Center will continue to update the list with any new records through the end of the month. An updated list is below:
