Seasonal Snow Statistics So Far This Season - Updated 02/23/2010

This winter has been cold and snowy which has caused many travel worries, school closings, and road closures. This leads many people to ask questions such as, just how snowy has it been and which locations may make the top 10 for seasonal snowfall?
The High Plains Regional Climate Center has again updated the season-to-date snowfall statistics (see table below). Three new locations have broken into the top 10: Topeka, KS, Grand Island, NE, and Scottsbluff, NE. Other locations are getting close to the top 10 including Concordia, KS which only needs 1.8 inches of snow and Sioux Falls, SD which only needs 3.6 inches.
The High Plains Regional Climate Center will continue to keep the statistics updated throughout the season.
