This winter has been cold and snowy which has caused many travel worries, school closings, and road closures. This leads many people to ask questions such as, just how snowy has it been and which locations may make the top 10 for seasonal snowfall?
The High Plains Regional Climate Center has again updated the season-to-date snowfall statistics (see table below). Three locations in Nebraska have already broken into the top 10 and other locations are only inches away. For instance, Sioux Falls, SD, with only 3.8 inches to go, has a 69% chance of breaking into the top 10, and Topeka, KS only needs 2.4 inches of snow to get into the top 10.
The High Plains Regional Climate Center will continue to keep the statistics updated throughout the season.
