Temperature 

Temperatures were above normal for the majority of the region. The highest temperature was greater than 15°F above normal in northwestern Wyoming. The lowest temperature was 6°F to 9°F below normal in southcentral Kansas.

Temperatures in northwestern North Dakota and northwestern Wyoming reached 9°F to 12°F above normal, with areas in Wyoming reaching temperatures greater than 15°F above normal. The highest temperature was 75°F at Medicine Lodge, Kansas which is the normal temperature for the area at this time. The coolest temperatures were 3°F to 6°F below normal in southcentral Colorado, western Kansas, central Wyoming, and eastern North Dakota. 

Temperatures in southcentral Kansas and northwestern Wyoming reached 9°F to 12°F below normal with a spot in Kansas reaching temperatures greater than 15°F below normal. The lowest temperature was 28°F at Alamosa, Colorado which is 1°F below normal for the area. The warmest temperatures were greater than 15°F above normal in northwestern Wyoming. 

Precipitation 

Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in eastern and southwestern Kansas, eastern and northern Colorado, northwestern and southcentral Wyoming, the panhandle of Nebraska, eastern South Dakota, and western and northern North Dakota to 200 percent of normal in eastern North Dakota, northeastern Wyoming, western South Dakota, and southern Colorado. Princeton, Kansas received 5.05 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 2nd. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions remained the same as the previous week. In the region, Colorado experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 5 percent while Wyoming experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 8 percent.
