Temperature
Temperatures were below normal for the majority of the region. The coldest temperatures were in southcentral Nebraska and scattered parts of northern and eastern Kansas reaching greater than 25°F below normal. Temperatures across central Colorado and scattered parts of central and western Wyoming reached 5°F to 10°F above normal.
The warmest temperatures were in southcentral Colorado and scattered parts of southern Wyoming reaching 5°F to 10°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 53°F at Grand Junction, Colorado which is 4°F above normal for the area. Temperatures in southcentral Nebraska and scattered parts of eastern Kansas reaching greater than 25°F below normal.
The coldest temperatures were in scattered parts of central Nebraska and northcentral and eastern Kansas reaching greater than 25°F below normal. The coldest temperature was -8°F at Bismarck, North Dakota which is 17°F below normal for the area. Temperatures in northwestern Wyoming and central Colorado reached 10°F to 15°F above normal.



Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in most of North Dakota, most of South Dakota, across central Wyoming, southern and northeastern Colorado, and northern Nebraska to 400 percent of normal in northwestern Wyoming and central Colorado. Oswego, Kansas received 5.25 inches of precipitation, well above their normal 0.07 inches; most of it fell on the 19th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions decreased from 79 percent to 77 percent. In the region, Colorado experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 8 percent.
