Temperature
Temperatures varied in the region. The highest temperatures were in northcentral Wyoming and southcentral Kansas reaching temperatures 3°F to 6°F above normal. Temperatures in southern Wyoming and central Colorado reached temperatures of 6°F to 9°F below normal, with some spots in both states reaching 12°F to 16°F below normal.
The highest temperatures were in northeastern North Dakota, northcentral South Dakota, central Nebraska, scattered parts of western Kansas, and northcentral Wyoming reaching 3°F to 6°F above normal. The warmest temperature was 45°F in Medicine Lodge, Kansas which is 1°F below normal for the area. Temperatures in central Colorado and scattered parts of Wyoming reached 9°F to 12°F below normal, with parts of Colorado reaching 12°F to 16°F below normal.
The coldest temperatures were 15°F to 20°F below normal in southwest Wyoming and central Colorado. The coldest temperature was -18°F in Boulder, Wyoming which is 10°F below normal for the area. Temperatures in western North Dakota, western South Dakota, northern Wyoming, scattered parts of Nebraska, and central Kansas reached 0°F to 3°F above normal.



Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent in most of Kansas and Nebraska, northeastern South Dakota, central and eastern North Dakota, and western Colorado to 800 percent in the southwestern corner of Kansas. Richfield, Kansas received 1 inch of precipitation, well above their normal average of 0.01 inches; most fell on the 19th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions remained the same as the previous week at 75 percent with no change in the drought conditions of each state either.
