Temperature
Temperatures varied in the region. The warmest temperatures were in central Kansas and scattered parts of Wyoming reaching 8°F to 10°F above normal. Temperatures in central Colorado and northwestern North Dakota reached 8°F to 11°F below normal.
The warmest temperature was in central Kansas reaching 9°F to 16°F above normal. The warmest temperature was 58°F in Medicine Lodge, Kansas which is 11°F above normal for the area. Temperatures in central Colorado, northeastern South Dakota, and northern and western North Dakota reaching 9°F to 12°F below normal.
The coldest temperatures were in northern North Dakota and central Colorado reaching 9°F to 12°F below normal. The coldest temperature was -3°F in Alamosa, Colorado which is 5°F below normal for the area. Temperatures in northern and eastern Wyoming reached 9°F to 15°F above normal.



Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied this week, ranging from 2 percent of normal in western Kansas, southwestern and northcentral Nebraska, central and southern Wyoming, and around the Colorado border to 400 percent of normal in northeastern and southwestern North Dakota. Concordia, Kansas received 1.51 inches of precipitation, most of this fell on the 14th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions decreased from 74% to 73%. In the region, Kansas experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 2 percent.
